ET's interview on the set of "The Blind Side" thanks to the information by a member on SBC.
http://www.etonline.com/news/2009/09/79035/index.html

It must have been in May or June when Sandy was shooting this movie.  Her blonde wig looks much better than the one in "All About Steve" -- I might have mentioned that before.   I'm really looking forward to this movie -- again, I might have mentioned that before, too.  Anyway, we have a glimpse of Keanu in a clip from 2006 Oscar's Vanity Fair Party.

I've just got a book titled "Confections of a Closet Master Baker" by Gesine Bullock-Prado, Sandy's sister.   It's really interesting how she changed her life.  I wish I could bake.  There are some great recipe inside.   They had a publishing party in Austin earlier this month.

A new trailer for "The Blind Side," which I like better than the first one.  This is Sandy's third movie this year, and personally I hoped this would be for the next year because most likely we won't see her in a public event in 2010 (unless she gets nominated for awards).  Anyway, I probably said this before, but I have no idea how good or how bad her southern accent in this movie.  Some people said "terrible", some said "not so bad".  I haven't read any real southerners comments, so I don't know.  But this movie looks good, and hopefully it will make people hated "All About Steve"  forget about it.  I'm going to read the original book.

I bought  the book of "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" earlier this year, but haven't even started reading it yet.  It'll be released a week after "The Blind Side" in the US.  I just wonder why it took so long for Pippa Lee to get released.  It was premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, and it'll be shown at the upcoming Toronto International Festival again.  Two prestigeous film festivals, which means the quality of the movie must be high.  I'd guess it probably lacks commercail appeal?  But that's strange considering the cast...  "Pippa Lee" has already been released in UK and some other European countries, but no buzz about it.  Anyway, good luck for both films.

Conan

Sandy appeared on Conan on September 3, 2009 to promote All About Steve.
Her outfit and make-ups are not my liking, but she's still cute.

Rotton Tomato has 0% for this movie. Gosh, I thought Premonition has the worst reviews, but this is easily beating. It'll probably get nominated for Razzie. I feel pain when I imagine if she ever reads those reviews. It's even harder because she produced it. If you are only an actor in a film which is (considered) very poorly-made, you still have an excuse, but if you are the producer... But I hope her publicist or assistant or whoever reads and selects fair reviews even though negative, and lets her read them. People can learn a lot from failure.

On the bright side, she's got another one coming up in November, which looks good!

Even thought the poster is aweful, I'm getting more and more interested in this small indie film.  It has a 'handmade' feeling.

Thomas Haden Church, Bradley Cooper, Ken Jeong and Sandy attended the press conference on 21 August, and Thomas is really funny and Sandy looks pretty.

"All About Steve" opens on 4th September in the US.  There will be a premiere on 26th this week in Hollywood.  I'll definitely get this dvd when it's out in the US because I don't expect this will be released in Japan very soon if not at all.

I think I'm just trying to escape from working...

This is one of my favourite YouTube clips.  Thanks to SBC's member, this hilarious interview was uploaded.  I remember that same interviewer gave a love letter to Keanu for "The Lake House" interview.
"The Proposal" has been a huuuge hit for Sandy and I'm very very happy for her.  She needed a big hit I think.

Now, this is not a favourite, but might as well...  The reporter is very annoying I think.  "All About Steve" may not be released in Japan...

And lastly, a trailer debut of "The Blind Side"... I still like dark hair for Sandy, but this movie looks good.  Again, it probably won't be released in Japan.  Darn it!

Cute interview clip of Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds for "The Proposal" UK release.  We can tell they genuinely like each other.  Although I haven't seen the movie 'properly' yet, they are becoming one of my favourite on-screen couple/real-life buddies.  Ryan is definitey among top 3 of Sandy's best co-stars.  My OTP is always Keanu/Sandy, but Ryan/Sandy could beat Hugh/Sandy if I can see more of their interviews together.

Freakishly funny interviews.  This woman is just too funny.  I really want to see this movie soon, like RIGHT NOW!   I love how she imiates the accent.

I haven't updated my journal for ages.  I just didn't have anything special to post actually.  Well, one of my 'masters' Momo turned 6 years old on 27th May.  I celebrated her birthday with sushi... as Her Majesty wasn't interested in it, I had honour to enjoy it for her.  (And Leo had a couple of bites, too.)

Now,  [info]cecism 's recent post made me think of our OTP again.  Although it doesn't seem that we will be seeing their reunion at work (at least) any time soon, the bright side is that Sandy's releasing three movies in the US this year; The Proposal on June 19, All About Steve on September 4th and The Blide Side on November 20th.   As for Keanu, well, not much except for getting photographed with a variety of women as usual and getting sued by a crazy woman for maybe-being-a-father-to-her-children.  I hope he'll start shooting a movie soon with much less beard.

So, Sandy has been doing promotions and there are some pretty pictures from her recent events; MTV Movie Awards on May 31, and The Proposal Premiere on June 1.  She looked very pretty with the loose hair & appropriate make-ups.  I like the dress at the premiere better, but I don't understand why the lining of the dress isn't black...kinda strange to see white between her legs.

At MTV Movie Awards (presenting Best Kiss with Ryan Reynolds)

Just to compare....

You can watch the show clip here:

At The Proposal Premiere

Again, just to compare...

Scary thing is that Sandy looks younger now than she was in 2006!   And I found the chemistry between Sandy and Ryan is quite good.

I'm not a big fan of Hugh Jackman, but I think he's a great actor. Probably his voice is too good, if you know what I mean.  Too strong and too clear for my liking.  But that's good for the stage I guess.

Anyway, at the Kid Choice Awards, he presented an award with Sandy, and they looked really good together.

And they got slimed together nicely.

I have never watched the KCA, so I have no idea what the heck this slim thing means.  But anyway, it looks fun.

Sandy looked pretty with that hair and I'm glad that she has kept in shape!

Spring!  Well, I'm not really a spring-person.  I'm more winter-person, so when it starts getting warmer, I feel kinda depressed just thinking about the humid, very unpleasant summer.

A horrible plane crash yesterday at the Narita Airport.  A Fedex plane failed to land and two crew got killed.  I felt bad because the first thing that came to my mind was, not their lives, but the cargo they were carrying.  I used to work for an import-related company, so we often used Fedex or DHL.  And I just thought I would have become insane if the crashed plane had carried our cargo.  I feel I'm a horrible person.

As it was very depressing,  I should put up something light.  My cats are as lazy as their keeper.

I know how behind we are.  "Mamma Mia!" is going to be released in Japan on January 30th, finally!
As I've been stuck with work and haven't got much fun lately, I really really want to see this film.  Sounds like a lot of fun even though I don't usually go see a musical-ish film.

Meryl Streep came to Tokyo to promote the film.

At the press conference on Jan 22...

Later that day, she welcomed our Empress Michiko at the Japan Premiere:

It's amazing how well Meryl has been doing, you know, staying at the position for such a long time.

The 66th Golden Globes ended with the victory of the "Slumdog Millionaire" and Kate Winslet.  I watched the live streaming, not from the beginning, but for more than two-third of the show.  Tina Fey, of course, won some, and she made a fun speech about the internet.  I think most of the presenters' comments had been scripted, so if the jokes didn't work , it's not usually the actors' faults.  But that borat guy's joke about Madonna/Guy Ritchie split was way over the top.  You should never make any kind of comments, even though it's meant to be just a joke, if the person you target is not present, or if you don't dare to say that same comment if the person is present.

Just some pictures of Sandy, by the way, who was one of the presenters.  She looked really good with that loose hair and proper make-ups.  The dress was fine, but I don't really like the bracelet and that big ring & clatch ...clutch?  See, I'm too lazy to check the spell.  Okay, she's 44 years old.  How could she be?

Finally, the trailer of Sandra Bullock's new flick "All About Steve" has come out!  Thanks for the person who posted it on YouTube!

It looks pretty funny, even though I still feel strange about her hair, and I giggled all through the trailer.  I don't think it's a good strategy as an actor to get two comedies released within three months (this one for March and "The Proposal" for June), but I guess she has no control over studio's release plans.

I have a feeling that this movie won't get released in Japan though...again.

And Sandy is going to be one of the presenters at the upcoming Golden Globe Awards on January 11th.

This is one of the traditional Japanese decoration for New Year.  It's actually rice cake with a tiny cow on its top because 2009 is the year of the cow... or probably "Year of the Ox" is the right word.

My first food this year is...

Actually, it was my last food last year, too.  I went out for dinner with my friend and we were going to do countdown at a cafe.  After midnight, we ordered cake & latte (tea for my firend).  It was really good!

My 2009 started as just like every other day... got up around 8:30 a.m. , checked my cats' litter boxes, fed them, and fed myself.   Then, I started working before 10:00 a.m.  I love my routine.... duh!

My cats that don't care if it's New Year or what...

Nelly's post made me realize that I didn't eat Christmas cake!  How could I miss that good excuse?  So, I bought a bunch of denishes...

And my cats are having lunch, too.

Momo needs diet.  Just like me.  When I look down at them, Leo and Momo look just about the same size, but Momo is actually two-third of Leo's height (I don't know if you call 'height' for cats...).

And I forgot to post the Christmas tree that I saw on Sunday (21st) in Yokohama...and I forgot what you call that thing...

It's 5C outside!  But no snow.
